Revolutionary new Cell Strainer: enhancing straining performance to the next level

In cell biology research, to ensure the subsequent progression of experiments which study the physiological characteristics of cells and the effects of environmental factors on the expression of cell markers such as flow cytometry, it is necessary to obtain an ideal and homogeneous single-cell suspension. Cell strainers can be used to filter cell samples, preliminarily screen for single-cell suspensions of target cell size, remove possible cell aggregates or fragments, and improve the accuracy of experimental results.


NEST Cell Strainer is an ideal instrument for such operations, as it is effective, easy to handle and electron beam sterilized. It is commonly utilized for organ culture, tissue transportation, and transplantation, particularly in stem cell and primary cell filtration. It allows for the prompt isolation of primary cells from tissues, providing uniform and reliable single-cell suspensions. This makes it an excellent option for flow cytometry experiments and is frequently used in combination with flow cytometers.

Highly versatile

New NEST Cell Strainer is compatible with centrifuge tubes of various brands and perfectly fits NEST Centrifuge Tubes. It can be easily assembled at the mouth of the centrifuge tube, allowing for liquid transfer without the need for manual fixation, which simplifies the operation process and saves time.




Advanced design for faster straining

    1. Combination of PP shell and nylon film.

    2. The sieve membrane comes with multiple pore size options, and each type is color-coded for easy identification: blue (40μm), white (70μm), and yellow (100μm), which eliminates the need to check the packaging signature to select the right sieve mesh.

    3. For some samples that are prone to clogging the sieve, three specifications of pore sizes can be overlapped from large to small for step-by-step filtration to improve the filtration efficiency.

    4. As tested, 50ml of pure water can pass through the Cell Strainer in ≤2s under 5kpa pressure, which proves high straining efficiency.

Applications:

    1. Obtain single-cell suspensions of blood cells filtered from bone marrow, pancreas, thymus, tonsils, and lymph nodes
