About Cell Cryopreservation
Cell cryopreservation is a cell storage technique that places cells in a low-temperature environment to slow down its metabolism for an extended period of time. Placing and storing cells in liquid nitrogen of gas phase at -196°C can not only temporarily suspend cells' growth, but preserve their certain cellular properties in preparation for later thawing when needed. It is an effective way to transport cell/ tissue/ organ samples over long distances, store samples for prolonged periods of time, and create a bank of samples for users.
As for the cryo preservation research, NEST has been designing and refining its cryo presevation product portfolios for users. First, three kinds of Cryogenic Vials: Cryogenic Vials (No codes), 2D Matrix Cryogenic Vial (Barcode), Three-code-in-one SBS Cryogenic Vial(Numeric code, Barcode, QR code) were upgraded. Now, Two new products are coming along with the new version of Cryogenic Vials: Vertical Cryopreservation Rack and Defroster. A more complete product portfolio for more convenient usage and better user experience is at birth now!
Vertical Cryopreservation Rack
NEST Vertical Cryopreservation Rack is intended for isolated storage of biological samples and medical clinical samples in liquid nitrogen tanks. Its regular structure enables more frozen samples to be stored in a limited refrigerated space and further facilitates instant sample queries.
Features
1. Selective ultra thick 304 stainless steel shelves
2. Compatible with internationally standardized refrigerators including Taylor Wharton, MVE, etc., and can accommodate 2", 3", 3.75" Cryo Boxes.
3. The smooth cut corner design is practical and safe in preventing accidental scratches.
Defroster
NEST Defroster deals with blurring and unidentifiable barcode at the frozen bottom through effective and fast defrosting.
Features
1. Compatible with 24/48/96-channel cryo box from multiple brands.
2. No need for heating. The defrosting process can be finished under a cryo-presevation condition.
3. The sponge tumbler is easy to remove and install. The first channel adds the special reagents and the second channel is for drying.
New specifications of Cryogenic Vials in racks
Vials of 4ml and 5ml are now available in 10*10 racks. Comparatively, more samples can be stored in the same space hence the space utilization ratio is improved, which makes it a real cryo preservation warehouse.
