As for the cryo preservation research, NEST has been designing and refining its cryo presevation product portfolios for users. First, three kinds of Cryogenic Vials: Cryogenic Vials (No codes), 2D Matrix Cryogenic Vial (Barcode), Three-code-in-one SBS Cryogenic Vial(Numeric code, Barcode, QR code) were upgraded. Now, Two new products are coming along with the new version of Cryogenic Vials: Vertical Cryopreservation Rack and Defroster. A more complete product portfolio for more convenient usage and better user experience is at birth now!
Recently, the nasal spray COVID-19 vaccine, VectorFlu ONE, was approved for emergency use by the national authorities in the Chinese mainland. The vaccine has been jointly developed by Hong Kong University, Xiamen University and Wantai Biopharmaceutical Company. The nasal spray vaccine functions by NEST Pre-filled Disposable Intranasal Atomization Device.
About Cell Cryopreservation
Cell cryopreservation is a long-term cell storage technique that places cells in a low-temperature environment to slow down its metabolism. Placing and storing cells in liquid nitrogenof gas phase at -196°C can temporarily suspend cells’ growth, and preserve their certain cellular properties in preparation of later thawing when needed. For cryopreservation, NEST offers three kinds of Cryogenic Vials: 1. Regular Cryogenic Vials (No codes) 2. 2D Matrix Cryogenic Vial (Barcode) 3. Three-code-in-one SBS Cryogenic Vial. (Numeric code, Barcode, QR code)
A basic biological fact is that, most tissue and organ cells are adherent in growth, which means they adhere to other cells or extracellular matrix within human body. During the process of adhering , the cells first secrete an extracellular matrix (ECM) that adheres to the surfaces of the substrate (e.g., the bottom of cell culture flask, cell culture dish). Later, when cells occupy every inch of the bottom, they need to be peeled off from the cell culture flask, passaged then transferred to other cell culture vessels by means of cell digestion.
